Today is the first day of Spring and I'm over the moon happy it's here. These last few months have been filled with cold blustery days, snow, rain, wind and general blah. But Spring has been popping out in the form of new buds on my rose bushes, tulips and daffodils breaking through the dirt and emerging out into the sunlight. The grass is starting to green up and the trees and awaking from their slumber, and not to forget all the babies I see out in the fields when I drive by. Their playfulness out in the fields always makes me smile. I'm happy to welcome Spring with open arms and say farewell to winter.
Today we are celebrating my middle daughters 11th Birthday. She turned 11 on the 16th of March but with work and such we are doing our family party today. No special theme but she has requested the Mother of All Chocolate cakes, so triple chocolate and then a few vanilla cupcakes for those who can't have chocolate. (Seriously how can you not have chocolate!) ;)
I can't believe she's turning 11!! Crazy how quickly time is going by......
